The bowl is decorated with the scholar Zhang Xu writing calligraphy with an attendant. The reverse is inscribed with the lines about Zhang Xu from the poem by Du Fu 'shi zhong baxian' (Eight Immortals of the Wine Cup). The base bears an apocryphal Qianlong mark.

Zhang Xu was an official from the Tang Dynasty best known for his calligraphy skills.
Condition: There are some tiny nicks to the foot, otherwise the bowl appears to be in overall good condition.
