The ewer is decorated in cobalt blue imitating 'heaping and piling', the body is decorated with two panels, one enclosing a peach branch and the other a loquat branch, all surrounded by further flowering branches and a band of lotus scrolls below a band of stiff leaves. The curved handle is decorated with lingzhi sprigs and the spout with further scrolls.
Condition: There is restoration to the ewer, including: to the tip of spout, where the spout meets the truss, and the handle.
A narrow section of the exterior of the footrim has been lightly buffed.
Origin: China
Period: Daoguang six-character seal mark in underglaze blue and of the period (1821-1850)
