Rare message box with rich alla certosina decoration in marquetry of bone, green-tinted bone, rosewood and boxwood. The front is stepped, with a geometric checkerboard pattern on the lid and a flowering stem below in a square reserve; side loops with twisted silk thread cordonet with acorn-embellished ends; brass hasp fastener.
