Sitting room suite comprising six chairs, two armchairs, a settee and a pedestal table made of carved jacaranda wood. Mid 19th century. This spectacular suite has fretwork and relief decoration with foliage motifs as well as lions and other animal forms, referencing the Hindu tradition of the Mogul period.
