Two large blue and white lobed chargers, crab and fish, Kangxi period, ca. 1700, China, These large plates with lobed and molded border (after a Delftware prototype, so called 'plooischotel'), are decorated with various fish among sea plants. Not marked. D 35 cm, A similar dish is illustrated on page 1023, volume 3 of 'Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum Istanbul' by Regina Krahl and John Ayers. Rim fritting and glaze lss along the edges but no hairlines and no restoration.
