Two Japanese ivory sculptures and one Chinese, H okimono 15,8 cm / H Chinese figure 14,6 cm / H tea caddy 9,5 cm (+) A Japanese okimono, Meiji period; a Chinese ivory group, Republic period; and extra added a ditto Japanese tea caddy transformed into a flower display, early Meiji period. The Japanese okimono depicting a man with a child on his arm and (probably) wearing flowers in his left hand, with stained engraving, signed Tamayuki, weight 186 g.; the Chinese sculpture represents a mythical figure accompanied by a boy, with stained engraving, signed Chikusai, weight 243 g.; the Japanese tea caddy relief decorated with the white Buddhist elephant enjoying the cortege in his honour, weight (wooden bottom incl.) 303 g. Provenance: from a private collection in Belgium.
