HEMINGWAY (Ernest). LETTRE AUTOGRAPHE SIGNÉE « papa ». Madrid, 22 juillet 1953. « Dear Monstruo, Thank you very much for forwarding the mail and for taking up the things of the Pilar with Captain Rakow at the Embassy. / When we are back in Paris the first week in August will send a check to cover any expenses you have had at the Finca. / Glad to hear everything is well at the Finca and hope everything goes well with you and your family. Please give them my best and best to Feo. / Please tell Juanito Dunabeitia I will see his mother and give her the fountain pen which I carried away by mistake at the Floridita. It is Juanito’s pen. Give my best to all the boys there. I just missed seeing Pedrico in Pamplona. He was on an excursion from Cuba that was passing through. But I saw Paco Echauri and Saralequi at the bull fights also Aymar and Pepe Harios. Aymar Aguolin sent you his best. Pamplona was wonderful. / We have had a very interesting trip but Madrid is quite hot now. / Mary sends her love. / Best always / Papa ».
