MERCATOR, Gerard Flandria. [Antwerp A. Ortelius 1575] Engr., 38,5 x 50,4 cm, hand-coloured (traces of central fold). Hinged at upper edge. Under passe-partout. 2nd state of the 1st ovoid map of Flanders oriented towards the North Sea, that Mercator is said to have not only drawn, but also engraved.
