(damp)staining, stronger marg. staining at f. [8], occ. sl. foxing, wormtrack in some lower margins of Bb, a good copy otherwise). Contemp. vellum, ink-titled flat spine (wormholes in spine, sm. stains on lower cover). First and only edition of a philosophical treatise based on the ode "On the cicada" by Anacreon. The Marquis Pindemonte revisited in this work some of his youthful and unpublished writings from the the time when he was a member of the Accademia degli Spensierati in Padua.
