Peintre et sculpteur italien, il fut l'un des plus importants dessinateurs d'affiches publicitaires de la première moitié du XXème siècle. Il travailla en France et en Italie. "Pour la Mer", tempera sur papier, en forme de losange, 11,5x14,5 cm (Passe-partout 40x30cm), s.l.n.d. (circa 1937). Campagne publicitaire d'été "Campagne Bains de Mer" du Palais de la Nouveauté. En très bon état. Severo Pozzati étudia à Bologne et participa à l'exposition du 20 mars 1914, ouverte par Marinetti, Boccioni et Carrà, dans laquelle des artistes tels que Giorgio Morandi, Osvaldi Licini, Vespignani and Mario Bacchelli exposèrent. "Pour la Mer", tempera on paper, rhomboidal, 4.53x5.71 inches (passe-partout 15.75x11.81 inches), no place and date but Paris, about 1937. Advertising sketch for the summer promotion ("Campagne bains de Mer") of the department store Palais de la Nouveautè. Very fine condition. Severo Pozzati studied in Bologna and participated to the exhibition held on 20 March 1914 in the same town, opened by Marinetti, Boccioni and Carrà and where artists such as Giorgio Morandi, Osvaldo Licini, Giacomo Vespignani and Mario Bacchelli were exhibiting. In 1920 Pozzati moved to Paris, were he devoted himself to commercial art; in 1923 he begun to use the pseudonym "SEPO". He created for the Dorland (Paris), Publivox (Geneva) and Studio Idea (under his direction until 1957), some of the most famous post-cubist posters. (D. Cammarota, in Godoli 2001, vol.
