A SARDINIAN BRONZE FIGURE OF A WORSHIPPING OFFEROR Nuraghian period, circa 9th-6th century BC 11,6 cm (4,56 in) high On a cylindrical bronze support for votive offering, the feet and the legs cast together and forming a pillar-shaped block, probably depicting an offeror in a hieratic pose, in the act of worshipping the gods, the right hand raised on the elbow bent, the thumb separated with the rest of fingers cast together, the now missing left forearm used for holding the votive bowl, the head with prominent nose and eyes, an extremely stylized and tube-shaped body wearing a long tunic over her petticoat and falling down above her feet and a heavy mantle deeply and finely incised behind with geometric pattern.
