AN ETRUSCAN GOLD AND RED JASPER NECKLACE 7th century BC 32 cm (12,59 in) long; 49,7 gr (1,600 oz) Formed of a length of multiple loop-inloop chain, terminating in tubular collars and joined to a ring-shaped hook-andloop closures, the chain supporting an extremely precious red jasper pendant in the form of a bull protome, tubular suspension loop, horns, ears and base of the pendant finely decorated with rows of granulation. Rare PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Germany, 1970s.
