A SINGLE-HANDLED MUG H. 9.8 cm. Clay with dark brown glaze. Attic, Mid- to Late Geometric, 2nd quarter-mid-8th cent. B.C. Slim body with high slung strap handle standing on a flat base. Concave wall densely decorated with stripes and friezes of dots, lozenges and linked circles; line frieze on the handle. Body undamaged; stabilized crack in the base. Provenance: Coll. Viertel-Mitte 8. Jh.v.C. Schlanke Form mit hoch aufstehendem Bandhenkel auf flacher Standfläche. Dichter Friesdekor von Streifen, Punkt- und Rautenbändern sowie verbundenen Kreisen im Umlaufstil auf konkaver Wandung; Strichfries auf Henkel.
