La scène de très grande fragilité se compose de huit personnages dont un enfant et un chien qui tourne la meule. Sur la gauche, un soldat aiguise son épée sur la meule que le chien fait tourner. Un autre soldat est près de lui. Au milieu, deux femmes coiffées de grands chapeaux dont le bras gauche est animé ainsi qu'une petite fille, font face à un couple aristocratique dont la femme porte une bourse dans sa main gauche. La scène est mise en mouvement au moyen d'une manivelle placée sous la scène. «MARKET SCENE WITH A DOG GRINDER» Precious articulated small bone made scenery.
