Glass‘</strong></p><p><strong>8 November 2022 - 4 p.m.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>A beautiful collection of over 200 glass objects from the 1880s to the 1930s awaits you in our Art Nouveau/Art Deco auction on November 8, 2022.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The oldest pieces from the collection are two chargers from the 'Indian Series' by Viennese glass publishers J.&L. Lobmeyr. The series, designed by Moritz Knab in 1883, has a rich arabesque decoration in silver and gold painting (121600). The "most recent" object comes from the well-known Parisian chemist and glass designer Gabriel Argy-Rousseau, who designed the relief of a Madonna in his typical multi-layered pâte de verre in ivory white, yellow and gray (121656).</p><p><br></p><p>A slender vase with a mushroom decoration by Henri Bergé and Emile Wirtz for Daum Frères is also particularly fetching. The rare, 50 centimeter, piece was designed in 1907 (122119). Also unusual is a rare, eleven-piece liqueur set by Daum Frères with enameled panicles of flowers and heightened with gold made in the last decade of the 19th century (122164). Also rarely seen on the market is a very aesthetic 'Paysage alpin et Aigles‘ table light, 1908-20, by the Etablissements Gallé. The model was also exhibited at the Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf (122166).</p><p><br></p><p>Franz Hofstötter, who was born in Munich, made a beautiful blue baluster vase with six applied drops, which the Austrian company Johann Lötz Wwe presented at the World Fair in Paris in 1900.
